Charles asked R.W.W. Greene:

I screwed up on my last question. I conflated "Twenty Five to Life" with "The Light Years". "25 to Life" only has a single POV. "Light Years" has two, heavily slanted to Hisako's better story. That's my bad. (Does anyone say that any more?) Will the *Hadjj* be out looking for the Chinese superior tech culture? Its a story needing a Fu Manchu-like character. Read "Imperial Twilight" by Stephen Platt ahead.

R.W.W. Greene I also had an idea and an outline for a sequel to that. It's the start of the revolution on Gaul and the kid Adem is riding with at the end of the book has been using the workshop to make weapons. So Adem must flee the planet with his Earth historian pal and go back into space. His family has been under legal siege by the Traders because of their monopoly on FTL services so they head back to Earth to see if they can find more tech.

But, again, for the publishers, it's all about the Benjamins. It's easy for them to get brand exhaustion (the R.W.W. Greene brand) and say, 'nope.'
