Thanks for all you do for us!! I have to read books in order to see how an author develops. Went back to A Time To Kill after seeing The Client (movie), and was amazed at how you drew us in. The Chamber made me ask questions of myself in regards to the Death Penalty and thinking about my beliefs. As a lawyer, probably more of a tough question, has writing changed your thoughts on topics like the Death Penalty?

Oh yes. When I was researching The Chamber I was still in favor of the death penalty. But once I saw its unfairness I simply flipped. And I’ve never looked back.

Hello, John. Early in your career did you have enough experience or knowledge to be able to craft your “voice?” That’s one thing I love about your books. Subjects aside, the tone and tamber of your voice that I hear in my head as I am reading is consistent and as a reader, comfortable. It helps set expectations. As an aspiring writer how much should new/young writers focus on that?

Hi John, I've been a huge fan since The Partner came out when I was 12. A more recent book that I really loved was The Reckoning. I really think this was the most epic of your books given the different time periods and the way the plot was given room to develop. What motivated you to right this book in this way and would you ever take a similar approach to a different story?
