Every once in a while I'll see a luminous trail of light, a place where my little seagull has flown. Like all of us, Jonathan lives in many alternate worlds, of hearts who loved his adventures and weave their own around his trails, too.
This year the book has been printed with the original fourth chapter, one that I wrote forty years ago but knew it was not right to print then. I thought It was lost, but my wife found it a year ago, crushed under unpublished manuscripts. Not many people know about the change, but there it is for those who are interested.

As a young adult, Jonathan Livingston Seagull had a tremendous impact on my life. To sense what it felt like to be outside of the box. The remembrance of the feeling it gave me that we all have talents. If ahead of evolution or fad, use your self-motivation and strive for your dreams. Fly above the clouds.
