Joey asked S.M. McEachern:

The Sunset Rising title always gets me. I'm guessing it's a oxymoron play on words dealing with the characters in the book. What was the final motivation for that title though?

S.M. McEachern Hi Joseph - Great question! People have mentioned the titled before, but this is the first time someone's asked me about it :)

In addition to being what I hope is a quirky, catchy title, "Sunset Rising" is a metaphor used to describe Sunset O'Donnell's rise from the bonds of oppression to the eventual outcome in the last book of the trilogy, "New World Order" (which was JUST released today, so I won't give any spoilers!). It's both the title of the first book and the series as a whole... because now that the initial trilogy is complete, I do intend to write more novels on the world I've built and the various characters I've developed. I'll continue to call it the Sunset Rising series for identifying purposes (and who knows - maybe Sunny hasn't finished her climb!).

Thanks for getting in touch, Joseph! Hopefully that answers your question. Don't hesitate to ask if you have more!

Cheers - Susan
