Emily "The Bookworm" Hope
Emily "The Bookworm" Hope asked Millie Florence:

Helloo! How does one set the right mindset when working on tasks? Rewards for after the task can sometimes be dangerous (since if one doesn't get the reward, sometimes one might not want to do the task) so I'm wondering how many different mindsets there can be, and how to figure out which is the best for one personally! Hope that makes sense? XD Thanks so much! <3

Millie Florence When it comes to writing, I agree, rewards for reaching your goals are not always effective. In my experience, the best thing to do is to try and trick your brain into having fun. Jot down one or two things you're looking forward to writing about in the upcoming scene, for example. I've also heard the advice to finish writing for the day before you start to get bored or frustrated so that you look forward to it the next day. End on a high note, and hopefully you can continue that high the next day. Writing is so mentally involved that those little changes really make all the difference. Mind over matter!
