How do you deal with writer’s block?

Samit Basu I work on something else until it goes away. Anyone in any line of work has productivity fluctuations, there's no particular reason to fetishise a lack of ability to write the next word. If the writing's not coming the way it should, just do something else. I've also tried powering through bits and returning and rewriting them later, but if you have a number of things you're working on, and I usually do, there's always another interesting option to turn to.
