Will there be more audiobook versions of the DI Skelgill series? I love the series but have trouble with my eyes and so prefer listening to audio books. As far as I can see only books 1, 2, 8, 9, and 10 have been released in audio format.

Thanks for your kind feedback - and for what is a timely question. While my traditional audiobook publisher has been keeping me in suspense, Amazon has just invited me to join the beta test programme 'AVV' (Audible Virtual Voice). This is automatic narration by AI (artificial intelligence).
It is nothing like the quality of human narration (and cannot begin to approach the Cumbrian and Cockney accents!) but it does at least offer a listening alternative without the prohibitive production cost.
Book 3, Murder on the Edge, is already available, and the missing books in the series should begin to appear over the next few weeks. To reflect the difference in quality of experience, I have set the price at the minimum allowed by Amazon. I would be very interested to hear any feedback on this new format. Thank you.

I was an advertising artist before children. I love birds. Outside my living room window we have tufted titmice, carolina chickadees, amongst more than a dozen other birds. South Louisiana is full of water, and birds! I love the Skelgill series because of them. I will check out your blog. Will you keep writing them?

Thank you for the insight, Bruce. I should have said that I love the Skelgill books, and am eagerly awaiting the next one to come out. Now that I think about it, Skelgill's mysteriousness regarding his personal life is rather attractive. Oh, and I apologize for my question giving Ms. Jones a promotion. She does seem very sharp, however, and I hope eventually her talent will be recognized and rewarded. ?
