I was thinking of reading this aloud to my 3rd graders -- would it be at too high of reading level for them?

Jeannie I think it would be a great read aloud for 3rd graders. I think that age group will need some background/additional information, but that is exactly why it will be perfect for that age group. It should generate some great discussions.
