Wheth…moreI think, and I have no evidence besides the way they act and what Ishiguro gives us in the text, that the clones are in some way "domesticated". Whether that is just due to being taken care of their whole lives or some sort of genetic engineering (which is implied as a possibility because of the Morningdale scandal), it seems the best explanation because there is no mention of police at any point of the book or real violence committed by any of the clones.
