Lindsey asked April Henry:

How did you find a publisher and an editor you could trust?

April Henry It's not a matter of finding a publisher or an editor. You find an agent, and that agent helps you find an editor at a publishing house who likes your book. A lot of people use AgentQuery.com to find an agent. You can read more about agents there too - there's a whole section for writers. Basically most people are trustworthy in traditional publishing. A more likely problem is finding someone who loves what you write and thinks it's original and wonderful. Just remember that money flows to the author. Anyone who says you should pay to have someone read your submission or publish your book is running a scam.
