Eva Smith
Eva Smith asked Robin Stevens:

Hi Robin, I’m trying to write a murder but I don’t think it’s detailed enough because it’s too easy to work out. How do I make it more mysterious and difficult??? Thanks xx

Robin Stevens The secret is that it is ALWAYS harder to work out the murderer than you as the author ever believe. Readers do not pay attention properly, and they don't know the story as well as you do, so often details and clues just go over their heads! If you're worried though, try hiding crucial information in the middle of a section that doesn't seem very important, or have a character mention a really important clue in passing like it doesn't mean anything.
