Just binged through all seven if the “Jacky Flash” books, purchased as a Kindle set of seven. Loved them all! But #7 ended terribly abruptly, though with a teaser. SURELY, you’re working on number eight! Too many loose ends! Is #8 forthcoming?

Thanks for your kind words, which are much appreciated. I am not only working on number 8, but have finished it and it is in the hands of the publishers. It should be out later this year and is entitled 'Fletcher and the Constitution'. That's the US Constitution and it's in deadly peril. But Fletcher is on the case. All very best wishes, John Drake

I've just read all the Fletcher books and thoroughly enjoyed them! I particularly like books about the Napoleonic wars period but any books about wooden ships will do for me! I really appreciate the detailed descriptions of workings of the various parts of a ship which other authors often skip over. I know some of them were given by your hero, did he *really* exist or is he merely a convenient device? ;-) Bravo..
