Goodreads asked Rhonda Hopkins:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Rhonda Hopkins I was asked to provide a short horror story for an anthology that would benefit cancer research. The resulting story, SURVIVAL, came to me all at once, when I sat down to think of ideas. I'd never written about zombies before, but I do love reading about them and of course watching TWD. SURVIVAL debuted in the LET'S SCARE CANCER TO DEATH anthology with the proceeds going to The V Foundation for Cancer Research.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed writing SURVIVAL and decided I should continue the saga of Sarah, Dana, and their group of survivors. So I'm currently working on part 2.

Thank you to everyone who has read it and to those who have written reviews. If you haven't yet - I would encourage you to purchase the LET'S SCARE CANCER TO DEATH anthology. At the time of this post, the ebook version is only 99 cents and the paperback copy is on sale for only $12.96. All proceeds go for cancer research. And the book is rated 4.8 in reviews on Amazon and 4.6 here on Goodreads. Lots of great stories from authors I admire. :-)
