In the Q&A with the author she talks about the Easter eggs and mentions “a deeply buried one that takes us back to her first book”. Did anyone catch that?

Vida Olivares I caught that Justin and Sarah cook using the Sloan Monroe Crockpot Cookbook. (P. 390)
Susana I don’t know if this is it but when she sees her DNA match, Josh Copeland (The Friend Zone) is listed as a first cousin. Also, they bring up Brad’s Ex, Celeste who is Josh’s Ex.
Lori Eason So I guess my answer depends on which book you consider as her first...

The Friend Zone was published first; however, at the end of her second book, Happily Ever After Playlist, she tells us that she actually wrote that one first. So the Easter eggs? Couple of guesses (although they could simply be coincidences and/or me reading too much into nothing):

In the Friend Zone - Jiminez refers to Kristen as a "unicorn" (something about being no drama, likes beer, didn't care what people think about her). To me, this parallels the unicorn imagery in Just for the Summer - kind of funny but also no nonsense.

As for HEA Playlist - Jason mentions Sloan moving slowly, saying it's "just a season" but that there is beauty in all seasons, even if you're waiting for the next one. This reminded me so much of the seasonality talk in JFTS and how Justin was willing to wait "as long as it took."
