I have been such a fan of yours, I was really disappointed to hear that publishers were not excited about your recent suggestions. Would you ever consider some sort of self publishing since you have such a keen fanbase? There were a few series that the publishers didn't continue like Wildwood that I wonder if you might want to continue if you had freedom to write whatever you liked and knew it could be published?

Hi Nicole and thanks for the question. I am not really keen on self publishing. I love to write, but don't love the idea of handling all the tecnicalities, or dealing with publishing platforms, as well as doing all the marketing and promotion myself. I feel like that would take so much energy I wouldn't be able to do the writing part. Self-publishing works really well for some writers but that is not really the path for me. I am doing a new series with a local publishing house here in Australia, and we hope to get that distributed fairly widely, though the initial edition will be mostly for Australia and New Zealand. The first of those two books, The Amber Owl, should be published in early 2025. With this smaller publishing house (New Dawn) I do have more creative freedom. However, I'm unlikely to continue an existing series with them because that's just not the way it works.
All the best, Juliet

I know this is one of the most asked questions you get asked, concerning Wildwood #3 and that this is something that very much dependent on your publisher. Would you consider a scenario where you post a chapter in regular intervals and then self-publish when you have enough to make the book (similar to Ilona Andrews)?

Hi Juliet! For years now I've been a huge fan of your books. I love the themes, setting and mix of history and fantasy! This year, I've read the Bridei Chronicles and I was wondering if you would ever consider writing a sequel? It seems to me there is a story to be told about Circinn (if Bridei is able to unite the two kingdoms, more adventures of Faolan and Eile etc!). Thanks for your reply!!

Hi! I've read a number of your books, getting hooked on them starting with daughter of the Forest. Some of the books have pronunciation guides to the Gaelic names, and some don't, and I am currently stumbling with some of the names in the Dark Mirror. Is there someplace I might be able to look up a list for the pronunciation of names as a group? Otherwise I will just keep plugging away at it with google to help ;)
