Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Nikki Elizabeth My debut, INDUSTRIALIZED, was born during the Egyptian crisis of 2011. Watching cultural artifacts be destroyed by passionate protesters made me question what we in the U.S. would do in the face of total social upheaval. The story evolved over the years as I slowly poked it every here and there, and then it finally blossomed into a tale of corporate power, lost autonomy, and a desire for a brighter future.
