THERE IS A BLOG THAT I SOMETIMES GET EMAILS FROM, "CLASSIC BUT TRENDY". CAN YOU THINK OF ANYTHING THAT SUCH A PHRASE WOULD BE CORRECTLY APPLIED TO?

Trends in looks and books come and go, but I'd say there are some that keep returning, so I guess those would be considered "classic but trendy." For example, bustles and hoop skirts were pretty much trendy, but I don't think they've ever come back. Platform shoes and skinny pants, on the other hand, enjoy a resurgence every few decades. As far as books, some remain dated, but there are some with universal themes that stand the test of time and enjoy a revival with new generations.
