Larry Fontenot Elliott stole Barbara's unpublished play about their life together and produced it as a fairly successful play under his own name. He apparently was a one-hit wonder for obvious reasons. This success proceeded his plot on the island.
Judy Lindow He stole Barbara's story and that is his one, time big hit. However in the epilogue he's joking he should posthumously publish the story he's just finished telling us (or the story he wrote out for the people on the island to act out).
