Myina Ivyarave asked Lucy Carter:

I have joined Goodreads to earn degrees. I have desires for bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees. How many books will I read to be awarded one of those degrees?

Lucy Carter Hi, Myina!

Unfortunately, you cannot earn degrees on Goodreads; Goodreads is a website to discover, track, and review the books you want to read, currently reading, or have already read. It is affiliated with Amazon but not with any universities, so you cannot earn any degrees simply by reading books on Goodreads. You will have to go to an actual college or university.

You may, however, use Goodreads as a platform to search for textbooks or reading material you need to study in school to help get those degrees. You could, for instance, use Goodreads Listopia to look at lists of books you think you would want to read for your studies. For instance, if you are looking for reading material to help study for a science degree, you may consider looking at this List of Science Books to find a book that you think will help you study.

I would also recommend clicking through some books on the GR database and reading through the reviews to see if the book you are considering reading for your studies might be helpful.

I hope this helps. Good luck in your educational journey!
