Hannah Ginsburg
Hannah Ginsburg asked Rick Riordan:

During the Lightning Thief, how much control did you have over the content since it was changed so much from the books?

Rick Riordan I was in every writer's room and read every script. As I have been saying all along, making a TV show is a team sport, so it is the vision of the whole team, not just me. You should not expect the show to be a carbon copy of the book, page by page. If we tried to do that, it wouldn't work because of how different the formats are. For instance, in the books we are in Percy's POV the entire time. You can't really do that in TV the same way. On the plus side, that allows us to explore some other POVs in the show while staying in the same story. Some changes are inevitable. Having said that, I think the overall story is still the same story, with the right characters, scenes, and plot. Hope you'll enjoy the rest of the season!
