Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

David J. Neumaier I spent a long time playing games with my older brother, and I wanted to tell a story using the characters we created in an MMO we played together. I started telling that story, then got bored and decided to write the prequel. For me, it was almost like the idea was always there. I had the story's end in mind, but as I wrote, it unfolded in ways even I did not expect, but ways that I found satisfying.
