Ginni Yes, I agree that she actually saw him. This was one of the most horrifying parts of the novel for me.

Ted I did not have this impression, I believed that she saw him there and confirmed his death. That said, by that point in the book the writing style had become so impressionistic/dreamlike and almost frenzied that I get how that could be your takeaway.
