Does Snow White exist in the world of Fairest of Heart? I.e., might Penelope Snow have read it growing up and realize she's practically living out the tale?

Karen Witemeyer Hi, Faith. Fun question! I would say yes. The tale does exist in her world. When I write historical fiction, I set my characters in a realistic version of the past. And since the tale existed in real history, it would exist in hers. :-)
