What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Shawn Trudeau Way back when, I would have been about twelve, I think. I was playing hide-and-seek outside in the dark with some of my older cousins.

I was "IT". I found my cousin crouching against a tree in the backyard, though he was weirdly bright. But he has been wearing a white t-shirt so I didn't think anything of it. I called his name, "Randy! Found you!" A couple times.

When he didn't respond, I threw a basketball at him, he disappeared. I ran back to those I found earlier, obviously freaked out. As they asked me what happened, I see in the distance (it was quite a big backyard), a glowing white figure running down the backyard and then just... Disappearing.

Momentarily I imagined I somehow was just seeing things until Randy came running, yelling about the ghost he saw running.

We got freaked out and went inside after.

I've never been able to explain it, and never really had an experience like it again (probably because the ghost/spirit/alien didn't want another basketball thrown at it).
