Hi Joy, I'm a massive fan of Jackman and Evans.... having just finished book 12 on audible. Richard Armitage makes the books even more special. I just wondered if there will be a book 13? And secondly, I'm in complete awe that you manage to write so many books! How do you manage it? So I'm listening the series again, but it would give me something to look forward to, to know Jackman & Evans/Endeby? Will be back!

Joy Ellis Hello there, well, there certainly will be another Jackman book, but as I write the three series in order, there will be a bit of a wait! Sadly I've lost some time at the computer due to ill health this year, but as the last book out was a Matt Ballard, The Bag of Secrets, and a new Nikki Galena is underway, (plus a new novella for Audible Exclusive!), another Jackman will follow! So pleased that you enjoy them, and I SO agree about Richard! He is a superb narrator, and I'm very lucky to have him as Jackman.

I'm reading the Nikki Galena series, which I really like a lot - but I was wondering why uniformed female constables are always referred to as WPCs in the books, when the W was dropped by all UK forces in 1999? As the stories are set in contemporary UK, even if in an invented constabulary, it jars a bit when details like that are out of kilter with the real world.

I have been thinking so much about your authors note about how blended genre wasn't a thing at the time you were writing ... and that makes me sad because it's very much a thing now and I'm glad that Ellie can find an audience at this point in time.
