From a Christian and/or moral point of view you probably wouldn't think of it as a perfect ending, I guess. Jane realizing she can't be as cold/philanthropic/moral as St. John and has to return to the passionate/selfish/immoral Mr. Rochester. But when she returns to Mr. Rochester her faith in the relationship is restored because she knows better of her own disabilities and is assured she is in the right place with Mr. Rochester which she couldn't do if she hadn't found out by experience from St. John and his marriage proposal. So it's good nonetheless, just not as good as Mrs. Temple, Emma Burns and St. John maybe might've hoped for Jane.(less)
