Goodreads asked Myke Cole:

How do you get inspired to write?

Myke Cole From my earliest days, my mother taught me that members of the Cole family were bad at math and science, and good at arts and letters. She was totally wrong, as I wound up a Computer Engineer, but kids are easily influenced, you know?

As a result of that parental lesson, I first experience creativity through text. I read, listened to stories, and played a LOT of D&D (which is really a lot of thumbing through rule books - emphasis on the BOOK).

When you do a lot of one thing, you get good at it. And it feels good to do more of a thing you're good at. After a while it became a self licking ice-cream cone. I'm fine with that.
