This a spoiler question but what time period does June end up in? 1951? And was the door gone for good? And all four generations were together in this time? The ending was confusing to me!

Cathy It is 1951 she stays in, and yes the four of them, Ester,Margaret,Birdie and June are all in the same time period for a while. Brenda Thank you Cathy! Time travel/ magical realism are not genres I normally read and a lot happened very fast at the end. I appreciate the clarification.

Denise I was confused by this part. I thought when June went back in time, her mother was already dead, so how could her mother not be born yet?
