I've read PERCY JACKSON & THE OLYMPIANS and HEROES OF OLYMPUS, but have not gotten around to TRIALS OF APOLLO yet. Do I need to know about TRIALS OF APOLLO before I read this? I understand I need to read TRIALS before I read THE SUN AND THE STAR.

lizzielee2003 Technically, this book takes place before the Trials of Apollo . So, you do not have to read it before.

Jocelin I read without reading the trials of Apollo and you can totally read without reading that series. In like the first or second chapter they mention Percy and Apollo, but that’s about it. I didn’t feel like I needed to read that one as it didn’t ruin my reading experience. Up to personal preference
