They are so entertaining and easy to read. I really fell in love with Rolf and Hadriaan. So now I'm curious to know if your other books will be translated into Dutch? Thanks for the great holiday gift...hearing that people in the Netherlands are enjoying the books. Here in the US Rolf is Royce - so it's interesting to see you being in love with Rolf ;-).
As for Dutch translations. I sure hope so! Unfortunately, it's not something I control...it's the publisher (Luitingh Fantasy) who will decide if they want to bring back more of Rolf and Hadriaan...so please send them email (and get your friends too as well) and that hopefully they'll see the value in publishing the Chronicle tales as well as Revelations. I do have a third Chronicle that should be wrapped up in 2015. That's for the English version of course, but my hope is always that there will be foreign language translations as I want as many people as possible to enjoy the stories.

Hi Michael, when you introduce a character into one of your stories do you know they are going to die? What makes you decide to kill them? I recently read The Riyria Revelations which was awesome. I really noticed that there were a lot of people dying and I started to get suspicious how far any new character I met would make it. So I was wondering what goes on with character death from your perspective as a writer.
