Kathleen It’s typical of this author, she often leaves you hanging. Besides wanting to know what happens to Avery, I wanted to know what happens with the two marriages that were impacted. She always leaves you with unresolved questions - it’s annoying.

Lori I thought it could have been much more suspenseful for sure. It ended too easily for Avery and I would have liked to have a bigger bang at the end. I did enjoy the story though and I've seen so many bad endings lately, that it didn't ruin the story for me.

Beth Surapine Hated it!!!!! I need for Avery ( the little brat) to get caught in all of her lies…. When I finished it I was like are you kidding me?!?!? That’s it?!?!? I thought for sure there’s a sequel.. couldn’t wait to buy it… but nope.. that’s it! Very disappointing.

Jaclyn Wingfield I totally agree, but this style of ending has been in a few of Shari’s books; where she gives you closure but also a cliffhanger at the same time 😂 It’s risky but I think it works! She could have easily added another 100 pages going through the aftermath of getting caught in a lie.
