How do you get inspired to write?

Anthony Adolph What's that quote - you stare at the computer screen until blood comes out of your forehead. No, the writing is easy, but working out the complexities of what you are writing about, when your subject is ancient myths and the material is often academic texts and papers, requires a dreadful amount of thinking. But I think it is worth it, in order to extract the relevant details from so much difficult material, find an answer, and present the reader with clarity.
