M A Spiro asked Bonnie Garmus:

The fact that you are a copywriter (I'm a science/PR writer) and this is your debut gives me hope there's still a chance I'll write that book that's been simmering on the back Bunsen burner of my brain. I enjoyed Lessons in Chemistry thoroughly. I wish I'd been more like Elizabeth Zott in my early professional attempt to become a laboratory scientist. Are you happy with the Apple TV adaptation?

Bonnie Garmus There's plenty of time for you to write your book, so don't worry! You just have to find a way to make the time.

As for the Apple series, I wasn't really involved in it. I didn't write it and have only seen a rough cut, but I knew going in that adaptations aren't meant to be the novel. A series is a completely different medium, and I think it's really important to trust other creative people!
