I really loved your book Magpie. In fact, I haven't found anything quite like it. It's like a dark fever dream. I wanted to ask - what inspired you to write the book and is it a little bit autobiographical?

Hi, thanks so much for your kind words. It is not autobiographical in the sense that I have not personally experienced the things the main character went through, but it was written in a period and age of my life (18 years old) when the world didn't make much sense to me, so those feelings and thoughts came through the character. It was an uncomfortable book to write, and to read back through, but I'm happy you were able to enjoy it.
