Aashna I agree totally! I mean Teresa died in front of your eyes, for you, and you're gonna go and end the book by kissing Brenda? Personally, I never liked Brenda, so I disliked this ending even more. Plus, after reading TKO, I hated how Teresa's life ended even more. She was so close to the end, ugh! I feel as if Dashner could have done better with the Thomas/Teresa issue and the ending of TDC.
This answer contains spoilers… (view spoiler)[I felt the exact same way. I thought the book was brilliant but the ending was terrible. He made Teresa and Tom seem like they were going to end up being together and then brings Brenda in. In my opinion, Dashner portrayed Brenda as strange and untrustworthy. (especially at the end) Killing Teresa is what ruined the entire series for me. I loved Newt but I thought to myself that the only two characters who he could not kill was Minho and Teresa. Breiri laila Davis I started to cry when Teresa just died and then I just got angry to the fact that he KISSED Brenda. I think she is cool but Thomas belongs with Teresa because Brenda wasn't even in the first book Teresa was. James Dashner you could have done better.
This answer contains spoilers… (view spoiler)[It seems to me that Brenda was the only female companion that hadn't betrayed him. May you forget that Teresa sided with WICKED through much of the series, that she'd lied to him many of times, and that she left him behind at WICKED HQ. She can make excuses all day that she thought he'd gone already, but we both know he wouldn't leave his friends behind, and 'sides all the Bergs were still in the bunker, so that's b.s.
