Goodreads asked Camilla Chafer:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Camilla Chafer Never stop writing and never stop reading! So many writers get put off because they feel their writing isn't good enough, or someone unhelpfully gave a scathing critique, or that publishing books is a thing that happens to other people.
My advice is to write the book you want to read, the book you crave for enjoyment, the one you control the motivations and actions of characters. Write that book to know that a) you can b) you can craft an enticing plot c) the satisfaction of knowing you completed an entire book. Then get started on your next one, continually refining your writing style, tightening your plot, and get into your character's mindset. So long as you are writing, you are moving towards your goal and you will get there.
