Lena Dunham Thank you, Christine! For me, sharing these stories has brought me closer to my truth and made me feel infinitely less alone. I spent so much time wondering if I was "normal." Writing these personal narratives has helped me realize that none of us are-- and don't need to be.

Congratulations on the success of your book Lena! I am a huge fan,from Tiny Furniture to Girls (which my boyfriend introduced me to)-your amazing! But,I was slightly confused by the title of this book 'Not That Kind Of Girl'.For me, this emulates the phrase 'I'm not like other girls' which is the epitome of girl hate.As an admirer of your work and feminist beliefs,I was confused.Can you explain this title?
