Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Liz Trenow My inspiration for The Poppy Factory came when I attended the Remembrance Sunday event in my home town, which is a garrison town. As well as being very moving, it got me wondering about the origins of the poppy as a symbol of remembrance, and a visit to the real life Poppy Factory confirmed for me that it would be a fascinating topic around which to set a First World War / Afghan War novel.
