Did anyone else find Arlene so unlikeable she was irredeemable? I disliked her so much it almost changed my high opinion of the whole story. Her chapter was also the shortest, but nothing in it gave enough background to explain her narc ways later on. We get it, you opened your legs for a troop in your hometown, got humiliated & fled. She wonders “Why does nobody like me?!” without much self reflection as to why.
