Love Carl Hiassen! Read three or four of his novels so far, getting ready to read another. I like his humor, writing style, and plots. His characters are great. It's fiction, so any criticism of plots and characters as being "over the top" are a bit silly. It's not history. It's fiction. And I know that I 've met many a person that is indeed along the lines of Hiaasen's people.
