Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Faye Hall Carnal Transgression came from an idea I got whilst doing my family tree. My mother's grandfather was an Irish policeman who migrated to Australia in a time when corruption was very present in the Queensland police force. It made me also aware of the many Irish men and women who were shipped to Australia to be no better than slaves. I doubt many of them found a happy ending in their real lives, so I thought I could at least give one in fiction.
