Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Chelsea Brewer I've been writing the stories for Girly Stories for over ten years. After a while, I read them all together and decided it was time to make them their own collection. I had heard so many interesting stories from all sorts of women of varying age and ethnicity and background, and their messages were always the same: hiding pain. I wanted this book to be a semi-sort of- support group in a way, a vessel for other women to read real stories of women going through devastating circumstances similar to their own. We should never run from our pain or be ashamed of it. We should share it and face it and conquer it. I believe that is the essence of growing.
Deal with our demons, share our stories so others may learn how to move through their own.
