Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Cara Sue Achterberg I started writing Blind Turn not long after reading about an accident involving a young driver. For no obvious reason, he'd wandered over the center line and hit a pick up truck carrying a family of four, killing all of them, while he survived. I was haunted by the story, heartbroken about the family, but mostly wondering how a young adult and his family could move on after such a tragedy. I think often it's one small choice, mistake, error in judgment that can dictate our lives. I believe in forgiveness, but I also know that sometimes the hardest person to forgive is yourself.
