In order to be a writer, you have to write. I know so many people who call themselves "writers" yet they don't actually write... they just want to be a writer. You have to act on it. Also, don't give up. Writing is one of the toughest jobs and it is mentally tiring but you can't give up. You will get rejected... every famous and talented writer has but you can't let that stop you.
