How do you get inspired to write?

Brian Rathbone I think about story lines and characters as I go to sleep each night, and then I take handwritten notes the next day while taking a walk. When I have about a full page of notes, the current scene usually plays smoothly in my mind. That's when I sit down to write, and I just let it flow from my brain and out of my fingers.
