I finished this book last night, and then woke up in the middle of the night troubled by some of the loose ends - how could the prisoner have confessed to Jane's murder - and known about her scar - when he didn't actually commit the murder? Why did he confess? And How did Dan keep the ring hidden for decades? It just didn't seem to add up; there wasn't enough detail to make the ending believable for me. Thoughts?
