Telling stories and making up worlds! One reason why I am a science fiction and fantasy writer is that I enjoy making alternate worlds feel real to the reader. It goes beyond renaming coffee and calling a rabbit a smeerp or something like that. It's thinking about the rules for magic and their implications. What does happen in a world overtly run by corporations that has a disruptive new technology? What would a space-faring civilization have to think about in everyday life? I can play with the "what-ifs" while breathing life into real characters who interact with their environment--and seeing how this environment impacts them.

i never knew how to get started with my writing. People tell me when they read anything i write that they feel good, and they think i have talent. My problem is i never got a break in anything regarding publishing. (Depression/anxiety always holding me back). I once was selectedby NOLA's Times Picayune, a 'poetry reflection story' on the historical Fairgrounds. It was short nsweet, how do i write more?
