The idea for Haarville came from a chance conversation with someone who served me my pizza one night! I can't remember how this came up in conversation, but we got talking about a town in Germany that people don't believe exists - or that they think they've heard of but aren't sure where to find it. This internet conspiracy got me thinking: who would want to live in a town that can't be found on the maps? Answer: people with secrets to hide. Result: Haarville! (Also proof that random conversations with strangers can be very fruitful).
