Goodreads asked Adrienne deWolfe:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Adrienne deWolfe DEVIL IN TEXAS (tentative title) sprang from a character named "Coyote Cass," (sometimes known as "Eros in Spurs!") who tries to steal Sera from his best friend, Jesse Quaid, in SEDUCED BY AN ANGEL. Cass kept talking to me, telling me that he wanted his own story -- so I wrote the novella, SHADY LADY (published in the #1 bestselling anthology, PISTOLS AND PETTICOATS.) But Cass is the competitive type. If Jesse had his own book, then CASS had to have his own book! DEVIL IN TEXAS, Book 1 in a new Romantic Suspense series, pits Cass (the hired gun of a Texas senator) against his sizzling old flame, Sadie Michelson (a Pinkerton Agent.) SPOILER ALERT: Get out the fire extinguisher, folks, 'cause the sparks really fly in this one!
