In The Sun and the Star, Nico reveals that he had expressed feelings of being gay when he was 8 without actually recognizing it, when he was playing Mythomagic with one of his friends at school and called Ares "pretty". However, his friend reacted negatively to his comment,so Nico kept his homosexuality a secret until he was outed by Cupid at age 14(less)
